Going back to school…

We were asked to clean down a silicone thin coat render at a local school in preparation for a fresh coat of paint. The school buildings were undergoing some remedial works during the school holidays and it was decided that the render would need to be painted after these works were completed.

We had to work around various other trades on site and got off to an early start to make sure the site wasn’t held up during the cleaning process. This job took a mixture of Transform K-Wash and our Aquafoam to get the engrained dirt and grime out of the render. Unfortunately it was never going to look like new when we were finished, but it gave a contamination free render for the painters to work with.

The staircase before we cleaned it..

And after - note the render failure half way up!!

Staining from the leaking gutter

And after treatment - you can see how much render damage was hidden by the algae and dirt!

This elevation is over 15m high and was cleaned from the ground using our high level long reach equipment. A big saving over a cherry picker in both time and money, and so much safer having both feet on the ground!
